Services of the library

Vladimir regional library for children and youth provides the following services:

• issue of documents (printed and electronic) through the system of lending libraries for the term fixed by the Rules of the library;
• provision of  book funds, multimedia and periodical from library funds for reading in the reading room;
• provision of reference and search system, including the provision of access to electronic catalogue of Vladimir regional library for children and youth, catalogues of  libraries of Vladimir region;
• advising (individual and group) on work with the reference and search system;
• reference-information service on legal issues through the centre of the legal information. The provision of access to databases of legal systems «Consultant Plus», «Garant Maximum»;
• execution of one-time bibliographic and factual references in the routine «request-response» in oral form;
• virtual reference (response to the request is made through the site of the library and by e-mail of the remote user);
• the provision of bibliographic consultations on work with the bibliographical manuals and reference editions, on the choice of sources of information for bibliographic searching in accordance with the request of the user (duration not more than 15 min.);
• the prolongation of the period of that are currently on the user's hands, on the corresponding request of the user over the phone or on-line on the site of the library;
• the provision of access to the exhibitions, which describes funds of the library;
• rendering methodical help on organization of work with children and youth;
• virtual service for remote users in the framework of corporate projects on the library web site.

Club of literary transformations «To turn fairy tale into true story»

The original creative studio of «improvisations» has been organized in the library!

Do you want to have a good free time, to communicate and learn a lot of new things? Do you want to discover great creative potential in yourself? Our club is for you, then!

A various plots of films, extracts from favorite books, or just fantasy stories are modeled at every meeting of the club of literary transformations «To turn fairy tale into true story». If you use your individual opinion, uncommon approach, a little of humour you will be able to turn into Natasha Rostova of the 21st century or play the role of Jack Sparrow from «Pirates of the Caribbean»!

Club of cinephiles «Orange» 

Vladimir regional library for children and youth invites pupils of schools, students of lyceums, colleges and institutes in the club of cinephiles «Orange». It is new amateur association, which has recently opened at the library.

How are scripts for films produced? What books have been filmed several times and why they are attractive to filmmakers? What is more important to watch the film or read the book? You will find the answers if you attend meetings of the club.

Meetings in the club «Orange» are held twice a month. Meetings are free of charge! Do you want to learn more about the history of cinema, about actors and directors, about interesting cases, which occur in the process of making movies?
