Club «Magic of skillful hands»

The club began its work in the Vladimir regional library for children and youth not long ago, but has already managed to become popular among girls and boys.

Here you can learn to make beautiful things from such seemingly conventional materials, like paper, clay, salt dough, beads, tinsel...

You may ask why you need to learn doing all that.

Everything is very, very simple. Needlework gives each of us the opportunity to express ourselves and to create the set of diverse, original, and useful things, both for ourselves and as gifts for our friends. After all we all like to give and to receive unusual gifts, don’t we?

At the meetings of the club «Magic of skillful hands» you will learn about the fascinating, colorful books, which will be indispensable helpers in your new hobbies! We have many such books, and they are all waiting for you to take them off the shelf.

A fairy-tale house

We built houses, not simple - of bricks or logs, but magic - of cardboard. Scissors, a ruler, some glue, colored paper, a lot of patience and imagination, a little bit of time and houses were ready.

They were so different: with colored roofs and painted frames. Some of them were on the bright green meadow, others - surrounded by white snow drifts, with roofs, covered with snow.

Everyone tried to make his or her house unique, the most beautiful. But the main thing was that everybody felt pleased and happy and took the little magic of their skillful hands home.

A warm box

A lot of snall things and different details are always accumulated in our houses and flats. It is very convenient to keep them in boxes of different kinds. Such a box is very necessary for us to have threads, needles, buttons and all sorts of useful things at hand.

The box to be not only convenient but also beautiful we took an empty jar, clay and colored yarn. The most important thing is to do everything carefully and without haste. As a result we made very bright and unique boxes even warm, just for the weather.

The 10th sitting of the club “Magic of skillful hands” took place in Vladimir regional library for children and youth. The theme “How to make a bookmark” was very topical because many of us are fond of reading books and a bright, beautiful bookmark will be always useful. Children were suggested three kinds of bookmarks, different in complexity but very alike in technique.

Boys and girls made the details of bookmarks according to special patterns and using necessary marking out. Everyone made his or her own original braided bookmark, an indispensable helper at reading.
